LOTS OF NAUGHTY NEWS

It seems that Naughty Machinima and the Naughty Bitch, two of the main sites that host our adult SL films, have done a great job of improving their sites.

On the plus side, NM movies look very sharp. And the trouble of films getting cut off is gone. I was sad though that the movies that i did before 2010 are not working. Maybe it happened as they fixed the servers. So please check your movies. I will be reposting a lot of mine.

Cybercat Bekkers sent out a notice that the NB has upped their quality level. And if your movies are pixelating, just put them through at a higher quality level. I like the sound of that!!!

AN EVEN BETTER XXX MOVIE!!

Since I last blogged about the quality of Ruff and Rayven's films, I wanted to do an experiment with one of mine.

So here is my film La cagna ricca on 5 different sites. Blip TV, Naughty Machinima (through a link to XTube), Slutload, XTube and The Naughty Bitch.

BLIP TV (La cagna ricca)
I think the movie looks amazing here. And here's a link to see it in their HD. But seriuosly, this looks so good. I like that it gives a great pic of the film before it plays. 

I did have to adjust the size of the picture down. It was a little too big for the blog. But that was not so hard.

I hate how out of sinc the voice is. I tried uploading this a bunch of times.
It does give a pic before it plays, which is nice. 


But I HATE the voice on this.

I couldn't actually upload it directly onto the NM site so I used a link from XTube. The Xtube link does look great.

Right now NM is cutting off the end of movies (but not embedded movies). I also don't like how NM doesn't always give a pic in the viewer before it plays.

This is a very good quality picture. Not quite as HD as Blip. But they allow porn.
I do wish it showed a pic before playing.







NAUGHTY BITCH (La cagna ricca)
I always thought this movie looked great on the NB viewer. Others have gotten more "pixelled" look to their movies.


I wish the screen pic was a little better.


               

Overall, I was VERY impressed with Blip TV. I downloaded the video in there regular form and HD and the regular quality was EXCELLENT.  Almost as good. Then I read why.

As of today all new uploads to blip.tv will be presented to viewers in glorious h.264. This means that videos will be clearer, higher quality, and more compatible with a wider range of devices. h.264 plays perfectly in the Flash player, in HTML5, on Google TV, on iPhones, on iPads and almost everything else in the world.

Even better, all h.264 conversions will be in either full SD (480p) or HD (720p). Pro users who upload videos that are 720p or better will receive the HD conversions, while all producers will have access to 480p.

One thing against Blip.TV is that it has commercials. But as Rayven pointed out in her blog, she only made 6 cents off that. So I turned them off. And I don't think there are any playing on mine.

I am not saying that the others are bad players. I will continue to strongly support NM and NB. They are home for me.

And here's a big warning. Blip TV is not a viewer for "pornography," although you can do settings for "Adult Content." But if there's ever a crackdown or complaints, you probably shouldn't plan on your videos being there forever. 

But for now, enjoy the picture.

IMPORTANT: A Smart Suggestion for Porn Directors

For those of us who are posting videos on both the Naughty Bitch and Naughty Machinima, Rayven Baily has a very smart idea on her website that we ALL SHOULD FOLLOW:

 (Why)"...post the same video on Naughty Bitch and Naughty Machinima... You could (have) embedded between the two. Why waste the server space on both sites?"

When you UPLOAD to a site it takes up space on their servers. And there's only so much room for our films then.  In comparison, EMBEDDING is just linking to another site. You're not using much space when you do that.

So if you don't EMBED and choose to UPLOAD to both, you are using up TWICE the space!!!

Right now NM (Naughty Machinima) seems to have more space issues than NB (Naughty Bitch).
My suggestion is to UPLOAD your videos on NB and use that EMBED CODE for NM

People really seem to enjoy my movie "La cagna ricca". It just passed 10000 views on Naughty Machinima. And it's back on The Naughty Bitch site, where it's been a very popular video as well. (okay, the most popular :)

Before I reveal who that is, a few words on why I keep track of this.

Some people have brought up a good point. That "Most films" encourages people to just put anything out on Naughty Machinima or the Naughty Bitch. That it's not good for the bandwidth of the site. Or for SL art.

Valid points.

But the reason I include it, is because people want to act in films. And this was a good way to show who was actually making films. There are other ways to encourage quality (a big announcement on that later), but this is about encouraging people to get out there and do what our group loves to do: Make sexy movies.
